Crazy ass adventures with Paul-wall
So yesterday, I had a final in my Chinese-U.S relations class. I get out and treat myself to a tea ( after all, I DO deserve it) on my way home I see Paul-wall walking my way and he yells out to me.
Paul: Yo Helen What’re you doing?
Helen: Not much, just heading home..
Paul: Want to go to a concert tonight?
Helen: Probably… where’s it at?.. and who is it?

So it took a while to get going today, but Nick and I ventured out to a shopping center; because we wanted these really cool, yet really basic watches.
As we’re shopping we’re doin’ our thing, and bargaining. We find some crazy cool colored watches, find us some sun glasses and just looking around for some random things.

crazy weekend
Had probably one of the most fun weekends I’ve had here. It started off great with a restaurant called ‘Munchies’ where we all had peanut butter milk shakes (those were to die for) Had some amazing burgers… as we were sitting outside there were China men spraying the trees with bug spray with a giant hose and they had some automatic recording going off…. NONE of us...

Quick update
Ting Ting and I went out for din din last night, and we thought we got away scott free… but really we didnt… whatever we ate took us DOWN!…. we have been puking and all that good stuff… Prime example of China trying to take us out.

So tomorrow I leave with Mr. Nick and Dan to Guilin (southern china). A 20 hour train ride…… still trying to sike myself up for this trip. It’ll be interesting to see how we all handle this…. We will return sunday. A grand total of 40 hours on a cho-cho train. Call us crazy!

Chong Ming Dao island
Annie, Ting Ting, Dan and I… decided to make it to the coast of China…
We didn’t have a real destination, but we knew we wanted to get out of the city limits.
So after taking the metro as far as we could, we hopped on a bus to a fairy dock; where we took a 40 minute boat ride to a island right off China called ‘Chong Ming Dao’. On this random yet interesting island...

Taiwan Trip
Seven of us: Annie, Ting Ting, Sweden, Nick, Dan, Kaya, and I had the BEST time in Taiwan..
We flew into Kaohsiung, and went to our hostel. We went out sight seeing that evening, saw the night markets, and tried some new street food.
The weather was astonishing. Definitely the definition of ‘perfection’. We walked around a nice park that had a beautiful lake, and watched the city...

Shanghai Soccer game!
A rather large group of us went to the Shanghai professional soccer game!.
It was a pretty neat experience. It was packed full of asians fans, and the military was also there, with their guns and mace!

Panda butt scratching!…. too funny, right up against the glass where the kid was trying to get a photo!, The funny part about this picture, is the parents of the little boy sitting on the ledge, took a picture of the panda scratching its butt right against the window… reviewed the picture, and said. ‘GREAT’ then walked away!.. priceless!
WatchThis video: We’re in the elephant area, and all of a sudden Nick attempts a elephant noise and THEN all the elephants start to go crazy and they start screaming and making all sorts of noises. Pardon the curse word, but it scared me, because the gates weren’t that big, and i dont trust China chains on elephants…. ! pretty intense tho!

So Terrell, Nick, Joe, Dan, and I all went to the Zoo, and oh MY!

Today was the BEST.
I woke up in the happiest mood!
Spent my entire day alone & in bed; only got up for lunch and dinner… other than that, I laid in bed and enjoyed every second of it! Had some ‘ME’ time :)
